Admissions

Admissions procedure for the five King Edward Foundation Schools and the two Sutton schools amalgamated in 2010 and children now sit only one exam for all 7 schools.

The exam consists of two tests of approximately 45 minutes each. The papers are divided into smaller, individually timed sections that test:
• Verbal reasoning
• Non verbal reasoning
• Mathematics and
• Reading comprehension/literacy skills

Children write their answers in the test booklets and most of the test questions are multiple choice. The marks are standardised to take account of differences in age. Sample questions are sent to you on receipt of your completed registration form.
